Our school is situated middway between the cental area of the city and a disadvantaged area: our students  may belong to either of the areas. After studying common subjects for two years, they choose their specialization: Chemistry or Computer Technology. Almost all of them earn a diploma but only some decide to go to university. The problem in our area, south of Italy, is the high unemployment rate. Our school tries to face the problem organizing post-diploma courses and also helps students to have a wider view on their European citizenship having them take part in Comenius projects. Our hope is to form conscious and open-minded people able to deal with reality.
